We are excited to present a Fall harvest Supper Club – a five-course meal showcasing local cuisine. Our Village Café location will be transformed into an after-hours dinning room, where you will sip and savor a menu crafted to showcase the Big Island's locally grown food.
Husband and Wife team, and owners of Twin Engine Catering, Lisa & Jeffrey Barbas, along with Chef Chris Crookston, will prepare five courses using local ingredients grown on the Big Island. This menu of Hawaiian region cuisine will feature Keahole Point lobster, avacado, Hamakua mushrooms, ahi, Big Island beef, macadamia nuts, and Holualoa vanilla beans.
The American concept of “Supper Clubs” originated in Beverly Hills, CA and became popular in the 1930s and 1940s. Traditionally Supper Clubs were considered a destination which featured a casual and relaxed atmosphere and “simple” menus. Our menu takes a bit of turn where “simple” is concerned. Our Chefs source all items in an attempt to buy local and take “simple” to another realm.
The cost per ticket is $75, including wine pairing, and may be purchased at either the Village (Palani Road) or the Harbor (across from Honokohau Harbor) Kona Coffee and Tea cafes. This affair is limited to 50 people.
The Kona Coffee and Tea Company Village Cafe is located in the Kona Coast Shopping Center, abutting Palani Rd. where there is ample free parking. For more information please call (808) 329-6577 or email us.
