Tea is one of the most widespread agricultural industries. Countries that grow tea include: Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Guinea, Australia, Tanzania, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Burma (Myanmar), Sri Lanka, Southern India, Bhutan, Russia, Northwestern Germany, Netherlands, Iran, Turkey, Cameroon, Kenya, Malawai, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, and United States.

Hawaii is just a baby in the world of tea cultivation. The Kona Coffee and Tea Company currently has land for tea plantations, and is in the beginning stages of growing it independently.
