TALKSTORY TUESDAYS are conversations where leaders in art, culture, and industry share their perspectives about the unique culture of Hawai`i Island. "Talk story" is a term used to describe the common laid-back conversation that happens between people in the islands. These events are free and open to the public.
Join us as we welcome Tara Spiegel from Ke Kai Ola, the Hawaiian Monk Seal Hospital! Opened in 2014 by the Marine Mammal Center. It's dedicated to caring for injured, ill, and orphaned monk seals. Come Talk Story and learn about their science-based rehab program, the free programs they offer to our community, and learn how to become a volunteer! Let’s do everything we can to protect, care for, and ensure the future of this adorable endemic and endangered species.
