A Recap of 2025: Cultivating Community and Expressing Gratitude

As the year winds down and we approach yet another, we are taking a moment to look backwards. This year was filled with an immense amount of celebration, gratitude and dedication on behalf of our ‘ohana to yours as you helped us cultivate the essence of community. From sponsoring athletes in the 2025 Ironman World Championship to our 10th Annual Kona Coffee & Tea Harvest, the establishment of our Red Honey Anaerobic small-batch release to the 54th Kona Coffee Festival, we’ve seen, hosted and participated in this wonderful community and place that we call home. Let’s take a look at the moments, big and small, that have allowed us to continue to grow for the past 27 years!

2025 Ironman Championship

This year, for the 2025 Ironman Championship, we proudly partnered with HOKA and AG1 Greens to share our passion for natural performance, endurance, and community. AG1 supported full-body recovery and overall wellness with their nutrition-packed refreshments, HOKA kept us comfortable and cool every step, and Kona Coffee & Tea provided locally-grown coffee to keep everyone energized. Our 2025 Ironman ‘ohana was rooted in movement and nourishment.

We also had the opportunity to sponsor competing athlete Christina Vance who summarized her Ironman participation as “the ultimate once-in-a-lifetime challenge" and says she couldn't have imagined the experience without the support of her team.

For Vance, becoming an Ironman finisher in two years was only possible by willpower, consistency, recovery, and the right fuel. When asked about her favorite part of the sponsorship, she paused to really weigh the benefits before deciding on the best part.

"I met women from all over the world at the cafe in the days leading up to the event- Kat Matthews, who was 2nd in this year's Ironman, and women from different countries like Singapore, France, New Zealand, China, Germany, willing and eager to share their tips with this first-time Ironman athlete."

As the sun set over Kailua Bay and the athletes crossed the finish line, we felt immense gratitude for our partnerships, the athletes’ perseverance, and the ability to inspire greatness with our locally grown coffee.

54th Kona Coffee Cultural Festival

The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival returned for its 54th year to honor the rich history, culture, and community behind Kona coffee. To kick off the weeklong event, we participated in numerous events including the Holualoa Coffee & Art Stroll, hosted a barista training event, had a Kona Coffee latte art throw down, supported contestants of the The Miss Kona Coffee Organization, and lastly, hosted our 10th Annual Kona Coffee & Tea Harvest! It was a whirlwind of a week, but one to definitively look back on.

We also supported some young contestants of The Miss Kona Coffee Organization to aid them in service, scholarship, success and sisterhood!

10th Annual Kona Coffee & Tea Harvest

Our 10th Annual Kona Coffee & Tea Harvest brought the community together for a keiki-friendly, fun, and educational farm experience. Attendees were able to experience firsthand how our award-winning coffee is grown, met the people behind each cup, and took part in celebrating the harvest season. It was a day to remember at the farm filled with endless 100% Kona coffee, buttery pastries made by local vendors, and the ability to connect with fellow friends, neighbors, community and ‘ohana.

From the moment community members began to arrive, we already felt the magic of the season: warm sun, bright orchard colors, and ripe cherry waiting to be picked. At the farm, we gathered together in a place of connection and nourishment; we enjoyed live music, freshly brewed 100% Kona coffee, we had a marketplace with Hawai’i artisans, giveaways and a local-style breakfast from Kona Coffee & Tea along with lunch from Sundog Bakery.

But the harvest extended far beyond the cherry picked. It was filled with teamwork and light-hearted competition, blending a unique and rare experience of fun, local food, and the support of an immeasurable community allowing our attendees to say: “I picked the cherry that made this coffee.”

Red Honey Anaerobic Small-Batch Roast

This year, Kona Coffee & Tea released its newest small-batch roast, Red Honey Anaerobic. It debuted at our Annual Harvest and to the rest of the community at the Holualoa Coffee & Art Stroll, highlighting this light roast with tasting notes of hibiscus, red apple, and a creamy body.

Every micro-lot in this series began with a promise: to honor the ‘āina — the land that sustains us — and the generations who’ve cared for it. Our Small-batch farming and roasting isn’t rushed; it’s guided by the seasons, the soil, and the slow ripening of each coffee cherry. We labor by hand and with heart, harvesting each cherry at its peak of perfection. From there, the process became a kind of alchemy. Washed, honey, natural, and fermented — we experimented not just to perfect the flavor, but to understand it. Each method revealed a new facet of the coffee bean's story, shaped by Hualālai’s volcanic soil and the Pacific Ocean breeze.

Then came the roast: slow, intentional, and with local hands. It’s here that the sweetness deepened, balance emerged, and the spirit of Kona came alive. This is more than coffee — it’s a tribute to patience, artistry, and the sacred relationship between our people and this place.
