As the impact of COVID-19 continues, we want to let you know the precautions we are taking to protect the health and safety of our guests, our employees, their families and our community, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
To best serve our customers during this unprecedented time our Kailua-Kona café will offer takeout and limited seating for dining. We are open everyday from 6am to 6:30pm. When dining on the lanai or in the café, we ask customers to stay 6ft apart from other tables and to wear masks when they’re not consuming drinks or food. We’ve placed green coffee bags on the tables to show that they’re clean and sanitized. Our online and mail-order business will continue without interruption.
During this time, we ask for your help and understanding as we navigate this ever-evolving situation. We are closely monitoring the number of cases on island and following all local regulations, and will continue to communicate our efforts.
Preventive measures we are taking:
Requiring masks to be worn by all staff and customers (when not consuming food or drink)
Training staff on protective measures
Sanitizing all surfaces on a regular basis
Deep cleaning after hours
Requiring social distancing of 6 feet or more.

Here in Hawai’i there is a culture of slowing down and doing things right. This often means doing it by hand, even if things take longer. It’s about the joy of the process. At Kona Coffee & Tea, we have full control of every single step of the process. It takes us awhile to do every step ourselves to create our 100% Kona coffee, but we believe its worth it.
When creating coffee there are a handful of intricate steps along the way. One that often gets overlooked is the process of Milling coffee. Join us as we peer into our Kona coffee mill here on the island of Hawai’i.
