Gratitude

Gratitude

Gratitude should not be reserved for one day of the year. Gratitude is an integral part of what makes each and every one of us grow and shine. Here at Kona Coffee & Tea, we are overflowing with gratitude. The three amazing souls named below are just a small example of the countless passionate and dedicated family and staff that help to make Kona Coffee & Tea what you see and taste today. Our hearts go out to the entire KCTC ohana. Without all of you, we would not be where we are today. Mahalo!

Lani, Roaster

Our roaster, Lani, is always busy roasting, packing and shipping coffee for online orders, café retail, and café use. It’s a job that never ends. She is ever grateful for the constant flow of purchases coming in from all over the world. Every day during the week she checks in early so that she can start roasting and get all of your orders out fresh and fast. Quality is and always will be our first priority. Lani has been roasting with us for 16 years and has a solid, steadfast system to get amazingly fresh, high-quality coffee roasted and shipped all over the world. Watching her work is like watching a beautiful piece of choreography. That elegance you see in someone who has done an action countless times and is consistently in the zone. We would be lost without Lani and cannot express our gratitude enough.

Danny, Mill Manager

Kona Coffee & Tea is a fully integrated seed to cup, Single Estate farm. What that means is not only do we have full control over the planting and harvesting of the amazing 100% Kona coffee we grow, but we also own and operate the mills, sorting, processing, and roasting facilities. Danny is in charge at the mill. He oversees the storage, sorting, and milling of the coffee after harvest. Danny also roasts down at the Kona Coffee & Tea cafe´ every Wednesday. You could say Danny was literally born into this job. He is the only son of the Bolton family that owns and operates Kona Coffee & Tea. When you first meet Danny, you are immediately drawn to his playful spirit and warm sincerity. He has developed a keen eye for detail and plays an integral part in helping maintain our strict quality standard. Because of Danny’s hard work, we have seen Kona Coffee & Tea maintain and exceed the highest standards of quality and taste.

Arturo, Farm Manager

Our farm manager is responsible for the health and prosperity of the coffee plants. Arturo helps ensure that we are growing the best quality coffee in a way that is ecologically sustainable and supportive. Arturo is not only the farm manager, but he also is a resident of the Big Island of Hawaii. This island is not just his place of work, it is part of him. We are grateful for the care and respect Arturo gives to the aina (land) and for his skill and knowledge that helps us continue year after year to bring forth award-winning 100% Kona, Single Estate coffee.

Saving the best for last… we are grateful for YOU! Mahalo (thank you) for taking the time to read this, for your support and for allowing us to share with you that which brings us such great joy. Thank you for tasting the gratitude, passion, and Aloha in every cup of Kona Coffee & Tea’s 100% Kona coffee.

With warmest Mahalo & Aloha,

- Kona Coffee & Tea Ohana
