Feeling Thankful

Feeling Thankful

This year has us feeling thankful in so many ways. Like many of you, the pandemic has had a profound effect on us and we were faced with difficult decisions. Throughout this experience, we are reminded of the simple joys in life and are grateful for things we often take for granted. Today, we want to share what some of our staff are thankful for. These are the ones who serve you in our cafe, who ship your online orders, who respond to your email inquiries and social media messages, and others who work behind the scenes. They are amazing and we love them. Mahalo!

Jan, Owner and Co-founder

I am thankful for our Heavenly Father for giving me a life of love and peace in my heart, my husband of 39 years, and the most amazing children and grandchildren who I can call my best friends. I am also thankful for the health of our community, who I appreciate, and who has sustained us during this pandemic. Thank you thank you thank you!

Malia, Director of Operations

I am grateful for our happy, smiling, and fun-loving crew. Each one of our employees has worked hard and left a lasting impression on our community. Whether Kona Coffee & Tea was their first job, a seasonal position, or a career, we are so blessed to have so much Aloha.

Ali, Social Media Manager

I am thankful to live in Kona! Being surrounded by good friends and community during this season has been life changing. Despite the hardship that this year has brought, I find myself thankful that it has brought my family, friends, and community closer together; being able to support each other throughout the pandemic.

Mike, Customer Experience Manager

I am grateful for 2020; this ever-evolving year full of extremes has provided me with some essential perspective on my life and challenges as well it has opened my eyes even more to the fact that we all have our struggles and in one way or another we truly are trying our best. 2020 has showed me that we cannot take things for granted. We need to be awake and take part, that dispite how others may act we should not judge or attack. We can take responsibility for our thoughts and actions and truly "be the change we wish to see."

Danny, Cafe Manager

At this time of Thanksgiving, I’m so very thankful for my two kids, Chenoa and Sean. They are the loves of my life. I’m thankful that our Kona Coffee & Tea staff, their families, and our customers, have been able to remain so healthy in such a trying time. And, I’m incredibly thankful for all the aloha I receive on a daily basis, from our entire staff and our Kona Coffee & Tea customers. Much Aloha to you all

Chance, cafe Manager

I’m thankful and blessed for my ‘ohana, with everything happening in the world it’s really important to have an amazing support group. I’m also really thankful for our community coming together to serve our people during this pandemic.

ZADIe, FUTURE Farm Manager

This season, I am thankful for my family, gymnastics, and actually being in school. I’m really happy I can be in school because I can be with my friends and be in contact with people, but we have to wear masks just like everyone else. So that’s what I’m thankful for.
